In light of our most recent HCASC meeting that focused on leadership opportunities in the area, I thought that with such an overload of information about so many different opportunities our county has to offer, it would be helpful to chronicle it all on one spot! For anyone who didn't quite catch something, or if you couldn't make it to the meeting, below is a summary of some upcoming dates and opportunities to mark on your calendar:
-
Maryland Leadership Workshop-
-
Leadership U provides an excellent opportunity for high school students to learn new skills in effective leadership, hone old ones, network, and serve the community
-
Open to all sophomores
-
A parent information session will be held on February 28, 2011 at Hammond High School
-

-
A directory of services information booklet was distributed at Wednesday's HCASC meeting. This booklet is a great source for finding volunteer and job opportunities around the county, and contains alphabetized contact information about a variety of different organizations that are always looking for eager help!
